From enquiries about cutting PS type tapes, a number of customers have been troubled by the production of thread-like cutting powder. Photo A shows a cut with a normal blade, the arrow indicates the cut powder which is considered to be a problem.

The cause of linear cut-off powder is mostly due to fracture during the separation process, so cutting by scribing is effective when this phenomenon occurs. Photo B shows the state of the cut with the Toyo tool. It is possible to suppress the production of line cutting powder.
